Pause, resume or unenroll
Updated
You can stop a campaign for one contact for a while, start it again later, or take them out of it for good.
Pause or resume from the campaign
- On Campaigns, select the campaign.
- Under Enrolled Contacts, find the contact.
- Select Pause to stop their messages, or Resume to start them again.
Pause or resume from the contact
- On Contacts, select the contact.
- In the panel, select the Campaigns tab.
- Select Pause or Resume next to the campaign.
Unenroll a contact
- Pause the contact first, using either way above. Unenroll only shows for a paused contact.
- Select Unenroll.
Unenrolling can't be undone. To send the campaign to that contact later, enroll them again. They start from the first step. See Enroll contacts in a campaign.
What each status means
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| active | Steps are going out on schedule. |
| paused | Nothing is sent until you resume. |
| completed | Every step has been handled. |
| unenrolled | The contact was taken out of the campaign. |
What happens when you resume
Steps already sent aren't sent again. The next step keeps the same gap it had in the campaign, counted from the day you resume. For example, if the contact paused after the day 3 step and the next step is on day 7, it goes out 4 days after you resume.
Automatic pauses and removals
- When a contact texts or emails you back, Ostira pauses all of their active campaigns. You'll get a notice: "Drip campaign paused — contact replied". Select Resume when you want the campaign to continue.
- When a contact is marked Do Not Contact, Ostira unenrolls them from every campaign. See Do Not Contact and unsubscribes.
