Ask Ostira
Updated
Ask Ostira answers questions about your leads, calendar and pipeline from your own data. It can also draft follow-up messages, and nothing is sent until you choose to send it.
Where to find it
- On a computer or tablet: the Ask Ostira box at the bottom of Today.
- On a phone: the round Ask Ostira button next to the tab bar, on any page.
What you can ask
| Ask about | For example |
|---|---|
| Contacts, by name, lead source or tag, Hot/Warm/Cold, pipeline stage or the day they came in | "Who are my hot leads this week?" |
| One lead's conversation | "Summarize my conversation with Maya" |
| Your appointments on a day | "What's on my calendar today?" |
| Your pipeline: deals and value per stage, Hot/Warm/Cold counts, new leads in the last 7 days | "How's my pipeline looking?" |
| Follow-ups to a group of leads | "Follow up with everyone from Sunday's open house" |
Ostira answers only from what's in your account. If it finds nothing, it says so. It won't search or sort leads by race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status or disability.
Draft and send follow-ups
- On Today, select the Ask Ostira box. On a phone, select the round Ask Ostira button instead.
- Type your request, such as "Follow up with everyone from Sunday's open house".
- Press Enter.
- Review the drafts under "drafts to review". Ostira writes up to 10 at a time.
- To change a message, select Edit under it, make your changes, then select Done editing.
- If a lead has both a phone number and an email address, choose Text or Email.
- Clear the checkbox next to any lead you don't want to message.
- Select Send selected. To send every draft instead, select Send all.
- Select Done.
To send nothing, select Cancel instead.
What happens next
Each message goes out as you, and each row shows Sent, Not sent or Skipped. Ostira writes these drafts in your voice. See Teach Ostira your voice.
Good to know:
- Every draft gets the Fair Housing check. A draft that fails it is unchecked and can't be sent until you edit it. Wording that only needs a look shows "Review:" with a suggestion.
- Leads who opted out, or who have no phone or email, get no draft. Ostira lists them under the drafts.
- Texts can be up to 480 characters, and emails up to 2,000.
- On the free plan, each follow-up you send counts as one of your 10 AI replies for the month, even if you edited it. Once they're used up, Ostira stops writing follow-ups and tells you so. Drafts it already wrote can still be sent. See When you reach a free-plan limit.
- If you see "That's a lot of questions at once. Try again in a few minutes.", wait a little and ask again.
