Getting leads into Ostira
Updated
Leads reach Ostira in a few ways today. You add them yourself, one at a time or from a CSV file, and Ostira support can connect a listing portal for you.
The ways in
| Way | Where to find it | Does Ostira start a conversation? |
|---|---|---|
| New lead form | On Today, select New lead. You can also press ⌘K (Ctrl K if you're not on a Mac) and choose New lead. | Yes |
| CSV import | On Contacts, select Import CSV. | No |
| Add a contact | On Contacts, select + Add Contact. | No |
| Zillow, Realtor.com or Homes.com | Email support@ostira.com | Yes, once support has connected it |
Use the New lead form when you want Ostira to reach out. Use the CSV import or + Add Contact for people you already know, such as past clients, when you don't want Ostira to start a conversation with them.
Zillow, Realtor.com and Homes.com
You can't connect these portals yourself yet. To get leads from Zillow, Realtor.com or Homes.com, email support@ostira.com and say which portals you use. The Lead Sources step in Set up your workspace points you to the same address.
What happens to a new lead
- One contact per person: if a lead from the New lead form or a portal has the same email or phone as one of your contacts, Ostira adds to that contact instead of creating a second one. A CSV import skips those rows instead.
- Plan limit: on the free plan, you can have up to 25 contacts. Once you reach it, the New lead form, CSV import and + Add Contact won't add more until you upgrade or delete contacts.
- Conversation: for a new contact from the New lead form or a connected portal, Ostira sends the first message and starts asking its questions.
