When Ostira hands a lead to you

Updated

Ostira hands a lead to you when the lead is ready, when a person should answer, or when Ostira can't keep going. This page lists each reason and how you're told.

How you're told

  • Ostira emails your account address with a link to the conversation. The subject starts "Ostira handoff:" and gives the lead's name and the reason, like "Financing came up".
  • In the thread, What Ostira learned shows the reason next to Handed to you.
  • An unread count shows on Conversations in the sidebar, or on Inbox on a phone. The thread shows under Needs you with a dot.
  • For some reasons, Ostira also leaves a suggested reply on the thread. See Review Ostira's suggested drafts.

Opening a thread marks its alerts as read. To clear every alert at once, select Mark all read at the top of Conversations.

When a lead asks to stop

If a lead clearly asks not to be contacted, Ostira doesn't hand them to you to answer. It marks them Do Not Contact, sends one short confirmation, removes them from your campaigns and lets you know in the app. See Do Not Contact and unsubscribes.
