Your first 15 minutes with Ostira
Updated
In this tour you add a lead, watch Ostira start the conversation, find the deal on your pipeline and connect your calendar. By the end, you'll know the four pages you'll use most.
Before you start: create your account and verify your email. See Create your account and sign in.
1. Start on Today
Sign in. Ostira opens on Today, or on setup the first time. You can select "Skip all — I'll set up later" for now and come back to setup after the tour.
Today lists the leads that need you, sorted so the most urgent come first. A new account shows "No leads yet". Let's add one.
2. Add a lead
Use an email address or phone number of your own for this test lead, so you see the message Ostira sends.
- On Today, select New lead.
- Enter a first and last name.
- Enter an email address, a phone number, or both. At least one is required.
- Optional: add a note under "Message / Notes".
- Select Add Lead.
You see "Lead added!". Go back to Today: the lead is now in the New leads queue.
On the free plan, this test lead counts toward your plan's limits. See Plans and limits.
3. Watch Ostira start the conversation
Ostira sends the lead a first message shortly after you add them. Check your phone or inbox for it.
- In the sidebar, select Conversations.
- If the list opens on Needs you, select Ostira handling.
- Select your test lead.
You see Ostira's first message, and the status reads "Ostira handling". Under "What Ostira learned", Ostira fills in Budget, Timeline, Area and Motivation as the lead answers.
Reply to the message as if you were the lead. The thread refreshes by itself, so Ostira's answer shows up there once it's sent. To learn what Ostira asks and when it hands a lead to you, see How Ostira handles a new lead.
4. Find the deal on Pipeline
- In the sidebar, select Pipeline.
- Find your test lead's card.
Ostira put the lead on your pipeline in the New Lead stage when you added it. After Ostira's first message, the card moves to Contacted and shows a "Moved by Ostira" tag. See How deals move automatically.
5. Connect your calendar
Ostira sends qualified leads a link to book a consultation with you. For that, it needs your Google Calendar.
- In the sidebar, under Settings, select Calendar.
- Select Connect Google Calendar.
- On Google's page, choose your account and allow access to your calendar.
Back on the Calendar page, the status reads "Calendar connected" and your booking link appears. See Connect Google Calendar.
What's next
- Finish the rest of setup. See Set up your workspace.
- Learn what each queue on Today means. See Your Today page.
- Step into a conversation yourself. See Take over a conversation and hand it back.
