Review Ostira's suggested drafts

When Ostira pauses a conversation for you, it often leaves a suggested reply. You can send it as is, edit it first, or dismiss it.

Why Ostira leaves a draft

The draft card says "Draft from Ostira · paused because…" followed by one of these reasons.

The card says paused because… What happened Was Ostira's reply sent?
[Lead] asked for you The lead asked to talk to you. Yes. The draft is your next message.
[Lead] sounds frustrated The lead seemed upset. Yes. The draft is your next message.
it wasn't sure how to answer The lead seemed confused, and Ostira wasn't sure how to answer. Yes. The draft is your next message.
it mentions financing The lead's message or Ostira's reply mentioned loans, mortgages, pre-approval, down payments, interest rates or similar. No. The draft is the reply Ostira held back.
it mentions an offer The lead's message or Ostira's reply mentioned an offer, the asking price or negotiating. No. The draft is the reply Ostira held back.
its reply needs a Fair Housing fix Ostira's reply failed the Fair Housing check. No. The draft is a reworded version, if Ostira could make one.

Ostira writes drafts using your voice settings. You see one draft per thread, the latest. Leads with a draft show "Draft ready" on Today.

Send, edit or dismiss a draft

  1. On Conversations, select Needs you.
  2. Select the lead.
  3. Read the draft card above the message box.
  4. Choose what to do:
    • To send it as written, select Send draft.
    • To change it, select Edit, change the text in the message box, then select the send button (the arrow).
    • To throw it away, select Dismiss.

The draft goes out by the channel shown in the message box. To stop editing without sending, select Discard edits.

When a draft didn't pass the Fair Housing check

  • If Ostira could reword it, the card says "Reworded to pass the Fair Housing check" and shows each change. Send draft sends the reworded text.
  • If it couldn't, there's no Send draft button, and the card says the draft didn't pass the check. Select Edit, fix the wording and send it. Your edited text is checked again when you send it.

What happens next

A sent draft goes out as you, and Ostira stays paused on the thread. To let Ostira reply again, hand the thread back. Handing back also dismisses any draft still waiting. See Take over a conversation and hand it back.
